Adult Division

Minimize

The Adult Services Division consists of four distinct areas of service: Aging Services, Long Term Support, Mental Health and AODA (Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse).  We provide and coordinate an array of services to adults. Many of these services are provided through contracts with local agencies.  Some of the services that are available are: case management, chore services, alcohol and drug detox, court ordered services (Chapters 51,55 & 54),  medication management, adult day care, residential placement, therapeutic service, communications aids, specialized transportation, counseling and therapeutic resources, community support, and respite. These services are funded with monies from: Older American’s Act, Community Options Program (COP), The Medicaid Waiver Programs (CIP1A,1B & ll)  and Community Aids. These monies are State, Federal, and County dollars.

The Adult Division also services children with long term support needs.  Oftentimes their needs are similar to the adult needs. Services are provided through these programs: Birth to Three, Family Support Program and Children’s waiver Program for Autism. The primary focus is to provide a safe and healthy environment for the people we serve.

If you have any questions regarding services or programs for adults, call Racine County Human Services Department at 638-6321.

Mission

The mission of the Adult Division is to foster healthy, self reliant individuals, promote independence, and affirm the dignity and value of individuals through services and supports.  We are committed to supporting a sustainable community.
