 The 2009 Program Specifications for competitive bids will be available at noon on Monday, August 18th.  Other program specifications will be available as soon as they are complete.  Check the 2009 Program Specification page often to see if there is something of interest to you or the organization you represent!

Racine County has signed a contract to make prescription drug discount cards available, free of charge, under a program sponsored by the National Association of Counties (NACo).  The program offers average savings of 20 percent off the retail price of commonly prescribed drugs.  Additional information, including information about participating pharmacies, is available toll-free at 877-321-2652 or at www.caremark.com/naco.  Click here to find a list of places where you can get the discount cards.

The Burlington site for the Workforce Development Center has moved to the Gateway Technical College’s campus at 380 McCanna Parkway, Burlington, WI  53105.  The hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  You can find more information about the services for Job Seekers here.  You can read the full press release from the County Executive here.

The results of a survey on truancy, "Truancy - In Their Own Words", is available.  This voluntary survey was completed by youth that have had contact with Human Services during past several months.  It provides particular insight into how youth perceive school and truancy.
