When to report Child Abuse/NeglectMinimize

Call the local Human Services Department as soon as you feel a child has been hurt since delays in reporting can make a difference in remembering necessary details. In some instances, a delay in reporting concerns can result in the Human Services Department not being able to conduct an investigation. The Sheriff's Department or Police Departments must notify Human Services regarding allegations of child abuse and neglect within 12 hours, exclusive of weekends or legal holidays.

If you know a child is in imminent danger, call  911
