The Racine County Juvenile Detention Center is located on the on the fourth floor of the Racine County Dennis Kornwolf Service Center at 1717 Taylor Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin.  The telephone number for the Juvenile Detention Center is: (262) 638-6729.

The Juvenile Detention Center is a secure, limited access facility and can be accessed only through a series of doors and an elevator controlled from a console located in the Detention Center.  During regular business hours, which are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, the center may be accessed via the Human Services lobby entrance located on the south side of the Service Center.  During holidays and non-business hours, the facility may be accessed via the after-hours entrance located on the south end of the Service Center.  This door is on the exterior of the building and around the corner from the entrance to Human Services Department.  In order to enter the detention center through the after-hours entrance, visitors are required to press the intercom button to announce their presence and must have a picture ID. 

Visitors who do not have proper identification will not be permitted to enter the Center.
